世界經濟論壇1月25日於瑞士達沃斯（Davos）揭幕，會中發表「2006全球環境績效指數」（
Pilot 2006 Environmental Performance Index）排名。這項指標工作是由美國耶魯大學環境學院與哥倫比亞大學地球研究所的環境專家小組所進行的。今年度紐西蘭名列前茅居世界第一，美國則位居第28名。「2006全球環境績效指數報告」網址為：http://www.yale.edu/epi。
New Zealand Tops World Environmental Ranking
New Zealand ranks first in the world in environmental performance according to the Pilot 2006 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) produced by a team of environmental experts at the environment school at Yale University and the Earth Institute at Columbia University. The United States placed 28th in the rankings. The EPI will be released in Davos at the World Economic Forum which opened today.
