委委佗佗，如山如河，象服是宜。
子之不淑，云如之何？
玼兮玼兮，其之翟也。
鬒髮如雲，不屑髢也。
玉之瑱也，象之揥也。
揚且之皙也，胡然而天也？胡然而帝也？
瑳兮瑳兮，其之展也。
蒙彼縐絺，是紲袢也。
子之清揚，揚且之顏也。
展如之人兮，邦之媛也！

白頭偕老
嫁給君王白頭偕老，她頭上有六種寶石。
舉止從容舒展，山一樣穩重，河一樣自然，
披著繡花長袍，亮麗美艷。
誰知命不好，被誤為不淑，怎麼辦？
穿了繡著鳥羽的禮服，高貴美艷。
長髮如雲，不須假髮裝扮，
純玉重耳，象牙髮飾，皮膚細膩，美目流盼。
是帝女啊，是天仙！
美麗啊！罩袍蓋住細紗內衫，是她應時夏裝。
眼睛含情明亮，額角白皙豐滿。
真有這樣美女嗎？是我們國家公主啊！
Married to her lord for life – her headdress displays six jewels.
Her behaviour – stately as a mountain, graceful as a river.
Exquisite in her embroidered robe.
But alas! There is a rumour that she is unfaithful.
What can one say about this?
How splendid she appears in her peacock feather print coat.
Her hair – black as a dark cloud – she needs no false locks.
Her ear-plugs – pure jade; her comb – precious ivory.
She is heaven's daughter,
And the goddess of our land!
Her elegant overcoat covers inner garments of cloth yet finer.
Her eyes are clear.
Her brow is full and smooth.
How can such a beauty exist?
She is truly our national princess.
