環境資訊協會徵求對環境充滿熱情的英國在地志工!
邀請您一同加入「環保青年團隊」,就在今年(2010)8月25日至9月6日,與我們一起踏往永續建築取經之旅!
透過節能減碳理念的融合,創造一個與環境共生的都市,讓台北市成為生態都市,是我們的夢想。但是依賴人工設施已成為大家的習慣,而人工設施的建設,卻需要耗用許多能源、排放二氧化碳所換取來的。採取因地制宜的設計方式來發揮建築的最大機能,並且落實在日常生活空間,是我們每個人都可以行動的,但,該怎麼行動?又可以有什麼作為呢?走!加入「環保青年團隊」一起踏往英國取經之行吧!
台灣環境資訊協會自2000年一直投入在行動倡議與資訊翻譯上,不但希望能讓國內訊息能與國際接軌,也希望在國際舞台上能看見台灣的存在!在今(2010)年,我們即將前往英國參訪,希望將國外生態都市(ecocity)、自然建築(natural building)、節能綠建築(green building)、低碳發展(low carbon development)的理念與作法,透過參訪國外推動這些理念的機構,引介讓人振奮的成功案例,讓國人更加了解我們實際上還有其他選擇。
在此,我們想要徵求在英國倫敦(London)、德文郡托特尼斯(Totnes)、布萊頓(Brighton)、斯文登(Swindon)、萊斯特(Leicester)當地的留學生、志工等,可以在2010年 8月25日至9月6日期間,一起參與台灣環保青年取經之旅!除了可以共同參訪以下組織團體之外,在地環境介紹、城市導覽(都市規劃、綠建築、社區網絡等),若能提供簡便的住宿接待或交通接送,對我們此行有限的經費預算之餘,將是莫大的助益!

參訪時間:2010年8月25日抵達London;8月26日~28日至Totnes;8月29~30日至Swindon;8月31日~9月2日至Brighton ;9月3~4日至Leicester。
需求志工:
1.住宿接待志工:在上述參訪時間之內能提供簡便的住宿;我們總共有3人(2男1女)將代表協會出國交流。
2.交通接送志工:在上述參訪時間之內,為各點之間的移動提供交通接駁。
3.城市導覽志工:在活動行程間,可以共同參訪上述組織,或者能協助我們認識當地特色,例如環保相關景點、城市綠建築物等。

House Builders' Sustainable Journey ~~~English Volunteers Wanted

Taiwan Environmental Information Association recruits local English volunteers who are enthusiastic about environmental protection!
Invite you to join "Youth for environmental protection team" in August 25 to September 6, 2010. Let us join the journey of sustainable building together!
Through the idea of carbon reduction and energy saving, it is our dream to make Taipei an eco-city. However, everyone has made it habit to depend on artificial facilities and the building of artificial facilities needs the great consumption of energy and emission of carbon dioxide. It is our job to adopt strategies that suits local circumstances to maximize the function of the building and put it into practice in our daily life. But, how should we do it? And what can we do? Let's join "Youth for environmental protection team" and step on the journey to England.
Since 2000, Taiwan Environmental Information Association has been working on action advocacy and information translation. We want not only to catch up the latest information from abroad but also to make Taiwan the spotlight on the international stage. This year (2010), we will visit the United Kingdom and promote the concept of eco-city, natural building, green building, and low carbon development by visiting international organizations that have been working hard on these and introducing successful and thrilling cases to Taiwanese so that people in Taiwan will have a broad understanding about environmental protection.
Here, we want to recruit students studying abroad and local volunteers in London, Totnes, Brighton, Swindon, Leicester to join the House Builder's Sustainable Journey in August 25 to September 6, 2010. Volunteers are able to visit the green organizations together, introduce local environment and city tour (city planning, green building, community network). With limited budget, it will be a great help for us, if volunteers are able to provide accommodations or transportation.

Volunteers Wanted:
1. Accommodation Volunteers: able to provide easy and convenient accommodations during the above-mentioned visiting time. Three representatives (2 males and 1 female) from our organization.
2. Transportation Volunteers: able to provide transportation for the movement of each location.
3. City Tour Volunteers: able to visit the green organizations together and help us to know the local culture or features. For example, the scenic spot related to environmental protection issue and green buildings.
