辛巴威能源危機已影響民眾生活

即便在支薪日過後沒多久,馬考尼家也只能在每周六稍嫌奢侈地享用培根。如此純粹只是為能淺嚐石油危機前辛巴威的一番好景,回味以往少不了傳統英式培根、蛋及甜豆等佳餚的早餐。馬考尼一家五口為居住在辛巴威首都哈拉雷郊區的一戶中產階級家庭。

These days, the Makoni family can only afford bacon on Saturdays, soon after payday. It has become a symbolic reminder of years past, when Zimbabwe used to run smoothly and they used to breakfast on the typically English bacon, eggs and baked beans. The Makonis are a middle-class family of five living in a middle-class suburb of Harare, the Zimbabwean Capital.
