土耳其東部農村發現3名孩童死亡，提高了歐洲境內對於出現人類死於禽流感病例的恐慌，在多古巴亞 (Dogubayazit)郊區的一戶人家姐弟3人在一個禮拜內相繼死亡對該家庭來說是一項沉痛的打擊，所幸該家庭的第4個小孩從死亡疾病中倖存下來。
Bird Flu Kills Turkish Children on Europe's Doorstep
Three children are dead in rural eastern Turkey, raising fears across Europe about the emergence of human cases of bird flu on the continent. The three deaths struck the same family in the rural community of Dogubayazit, with three siblings dying in less than a week. A fourth child in the family has survived the illness.
