約20年前簽署的蒙特婁議定書，雖對破壞臭氧層化學品的減量有實質的幫助，但地球的臭氧層卻不是因此就得已確保。由聯合國環境規畫署主持，下週將在印度新德里召開的國際會議，即是以此為主題，計畫將設定出為期10年保護臭氧層的時程表，以供各國做為參考依循指標。
Ozone Depletion Crisis Not Yet Over
The Montreal Protocol, signed almost 20 years ago to curb ozone depleting chemicals, has been successful but that does not mean the Earth's ozone layer is safe yet, according to the organizers of an international conference beginning in New Delhi next week. Hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme, UNEP, the New Delhi meeting will attempt to set out a 10 year road map for governments to follow in protecting the ozone layer.
