保加利亞度假區開發的隱憂

保加利亞的陽光海濱、黑海著名的金色沙灘等觀光勝地,晴天碧海下卻充斥著大興土木的喧擾吵雜聲。許多的國人士一窩峰的在這些觀光勝地尋覓第二處住所,使得各個據點看似深具發展性之新興都市。不過如此繁榮的外表下卻意藏著假象。許多新穎亮麗的建築物幾乎每週如雨後春筍般出現,但分析師預測這些建築物在近幾年中將會面臨毀損之憂,屋主們將發現其旅館及住宅大樓徒然只是空屋一座、毫無價值。

At Bulgaria's Sunny Beach and Golden Sands resorts on the popular Black Sea coast, the air is filled with the sounds of construction. Each of these resorts, increasingly popular with foreigners on the lookout for second homes, looks like a boomtown.

But the appearance of prosperity is deceptive. Analysts forecast that many of the shiny new complexes now springing up almost weekly will face demolition within a few years, as owners find their hotels and apartment buildings are lying empty and losing money.
