黑楊木基因序列分析出爐 有利植物生質能源推動

黑楊木最新一期《科學》期刊中發表了首次對樹木進行基因組序列的研究成果,這項研究投入了全球來自34個研究機構,超過100位研究人員人力費時4年完成。而這項針對可快速生長的黑楊木基因組序的分析結果,將有利於調整植物運用在生質能源的規模商業生產上。

Poplar Tree's Genes Hold Biofuel Promise

Scientists have completed the first genome sequence of a tree and the analysis could prove a major step forward in the effort to fine-tune plants for the economically viable and efficient production of biofuels. Published Friday in the journal "Science," the analysis of the black cottonwood is the product of a four-year international effort by more than 100 reserachers at 34 scientific institutions.
