美國加州州長阿諾史瓦辛格已準備好採取行動，遏制日益惡化的氣候變遷情勢。他於4日指示加州環境保護局於加州各地辦理系列論壇活動，針對該州所屬的「氣候行動小組」於3日所發佈對抗全球暖化的報告內容，進行公開說明、討論與建議蒐整。而該州所訂定的新法亦為美國國內對溫室氣體排放設下限制之首例。
California Governor, Legislature Take Aim at Climate Change
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to do battle with climate change. Today he directed the California Environmental Protection Agency to host a series of public presentations statewide to discuss recommendations to combat global warming in the state's Climate Action Team’s report, released Monday. New legislation would set the nation’s first statewide limit on greenhouse gas emissions.
