美國奧杜邦協會27日公佈的全美10大瀕危鳥類名單中，白嘴啄木鳥和加州兀鷹名列榜首。這個已有100年歷史的保育協會表示，他們會就全美稀有鳥類物種的存活情況提出報告，主要目的是要證明，這些鳥類能持續存活，絕大部分仰賴瀕危物種法案的建立，但此法案的存在與否目前也是岌岌可危。
Audubon Society Names America's 10 Most Endangered Birds
The ivory-billed woodpecker and the California condor top the list of America's 10 most endangered birds issued today by the National Audubon Society. The 100 year old conservation group says it is reporting on the survival of the nation's rarest bird species to show how heavily they depend upon the Endangered Species Act, which is now itself endangered. 相關文章
